Northern Solar Completes Transfer to Main Market of Bursa Malaysia - Northern Solar

KUALA LUMPUR, 6th October 2026 – Northern Solar Holdings Berhad (“Northern Solar” or “the Group”) today completed the transfer of the listing and quotation of its shares from the ACE Market to the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”), with effect from 9:00 a.m.
The transfer comes approximately 20 months after Northern Solar was listed on the ACE Market on 6 February 2025. The Group will continue to trade under the stock short name “NORTHERN” and stock code 0340.

The completion follows the Securities Commission Malaysia’s (“SC”) approval of the proposed transfer announced on 28 August 2026. Northern Solar first announced the proposed transfer on 25 March 2026 and subsequently submitted its application to the SC on 30 March 2026.

Mr. Lew Shoong Kai, Managing Director of Northern Solar Holdings Berhad, said:

“Our transfer to the Main Market represents the next stage of Northern Solar’s development since our listing in February 2025. During this period, we have continued to strengthen our operating track record while broadening our capabilities beyond our core solar EPCC business. As a Main Market-listed company, our business focus remains unchanged. We will continue to pursue growth opportunities that leverage our technical and execution capabilities, while maintaining disciplined project execution and prudent capital management.”

For the first quarter ended 30 June 2026 (“1QFY2027”), the Group recorded revenue of RM38.2 million, representing an increase of 36.1% year-on-year from RM28.0 million, while profit attributable to owners of the parent (“PATAMI”) stood at RM3.97 million, compared with RM3.85 million previously.

As at 30 June 2026, Northern Solar had an unbilled order book of RM189.3 million and a tender book of RM2.23 billion, providing project visibility across its key business segments.

The Group has also expanded into utility-scale solar following the securing of a RM119.38 million LSS5-related award in March 2026. The project is currently in delivery, with revenue recognition expected across FY2027 and FY2028.

Alongside its core C&I and residential solar businesses, Northern Solar is also developing its BESS capabilities as demand for integrated solar and energy storage solutions grows in Malaysia.

The Group maintained a healthy balance sheet as at 30 June 2026, with cash and bank balances of RM44.5 million and total equity of RM87.3 million.

Moving forward, Northern Solar will continue to focus on securing new EPCC contracts, executing its existing order book, expanding its renewable energy asset portfolio and pursuing suitable opportunities arising from Malaysia’s energy transition.

The Main Market listing is expected to further enhance Northern Solar’s corporate profile and visibility within Malaysia’s capital market.
